contentment, vs 'the grass is greener on the other side of the fence'
Looking out the window of one of the laboratories I work in:
I think it's interesting how sometimes I look at someone working at some job and I think to myself, "Wow, I wish I had his job... it would be much more interesting than my job." But that person would probably look at me and think the same thing.
The grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence...
... yet for those of us who are Christians, who have been redeemed at great cost despite our worthlessness,...

Dear Tim...great picture....and how true. We can't see what's right in front of us...I needed to hear that today. Thanks so much.
Mrs. S.
Tim, God has been showing me more and more about what it means to be made in the image of God. Worthless? Hardly. Without worthy works, but hardly worthless. It's all about image...
Good caution about the word "worthlessness". I hesitated to use it, because of the image-of-God fact that you mentioned. In one sense we are even worse-than-worthless because we have corrupted our way. But in another sense we have been relabeled as extremely valuable, not necessarily intrinsically (anymore), but because of the price God was willing to pay to redeem us.
