  • life is intense

    life2

Sometimes life is overwhelming in its intensity.  Not just with stress, but with joy, busyness, anticipation, disappointment, pain, pleasure, grief, confusion, hope, etc.  Even, sometimes, in its very boredom.  Sometimes one pauses, takes a deep breath, looks at one's life, tries in vain to comprehend it all, shakes one's head, and plunges back in.

But when one's eternal destination is secure and incredibly awesome, life in all of its intensity and its ups and downs can be simply enjoyed, like an exquisite seven-course repast from a world-class chef.   Not only "can be", but "ought to be".

    I'm preaching to myself.
