  • Hmm, what a day that will be.  When the worrries of this world will be removed and the joy of the Lord will reign forever, ah what a day!

  • Thanks for your perspective... and for the link... Praying for you.

  • The wick exists only to be consumed. If it survives, it has failed of its purpose. There is no such thing as costless spiritual service. As we minister to others, virtue will go out of us. Ours is the privilege of offering ourselves as fuel for the flame of God. J. Oswald Sanders

Rejoice as you love God and love others...no impartiality and nothing between you and the Savior; be a 'rejoicer' turned inside out with only your affections on the Lord and others to give the watching world a taste of what it is to serve Him though it may not be comfortable.  This is not living in feigned martyrdom, but in the peace that passes understanding for even the realities of today!  (Phil. 4) Anything or anyone that keeps you from service to God or others is an idol of the mind and heart that has been set dangerously high on the shelf and is not worth 'worshipping' at the cost of missing out on daily communion with the Lord and uninhibited service to others as the Lord has called and gifted you.   This is a dilemma we all wrestle with until He comes, but can be 'pinned' daily through His grace and bringing every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.   Praying for the Lord to make this black and white to us who wrestle!
