  • D-Day, contemporary style

    Check out this thought-provoking video:

    The analogy to today's media coverage of Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Iran, and Green Helmet Man should be clear enough to not need any explanation.

    To what extent does the media make the news rather than simply reporting it?

    To what extent are we news-consumers morally responsible in the war itself for which news sources we choose to support by viewing and reading?

  • Interesting. It felt enough like regular CNN to make me think. How *was* reporting different in the 1940s? Didn't reporters there speculate and try to cover as much as possible? Didn't they try to get a scoop, too?
