  • Careful with that. Stereotypes exist towards the right, too - and don't think Republican politicians don't flip-flop, either.

  • “She thinks we’re likely to still be in this mess in 2009, and coming onto the campaign trail and groveling and saying at every opportunity that you made a mistake doesn’t actually help you solve the problem.”

that, to me, seems to be the root of the issue. what are we going to do now? this was a decision that was taken on behalf of OUR country, and to outsiders, it was OUR decision. playing a blame game only divides us for the sake of dividing us, so that the real problems aren't addressed, while also being exacerbated.

I want someone who is going to address our problems with an eye toward working toward a solution amidst many difficulties. healthcare, NCLB, Iraq, social security. anyone that primarily, or even significantly, spends time pointing out others' past faults is, in my mind, not part of the solution.

  • Personally, I think that the people responsible need to be held accountable, and that they're not the ones who are going to get us out of this situation. When you're taking care of a mess on the carpet, you usually want to put the dog that left it there outside in the meantime.
