No. Using the ancient exegetical technique of midrash, I have discovered that red food-coloring is forbidden. Why? Because eating blood is forbidden (Gen. 9:4; Lev. 3:17), and according to the NT Oral Torah, i.e., Church tradition, we should avoid the appearance of evil (see Matt. 10:16).
BTW, good article you mentioned on my site. good points; maybe a bit to harsh, though?
