King
Also, is Jesus a 'King'? And if so, what is He King of?? A spiritual kingdom? (yes...) A political kingdom? (not yet...) Is "exclusive commitment to the exclusive authority of Christ" an improper attitude for Christians to hold, as this theologian seems to think? What does that phrase even mean?
"Therefore Pilate entered again into the Praetorium, and summoned Jesus and said to Him, "Are You the King of the Jews?"
Jesus answered, "Are you saying this on your own initiative, or did others tell you about Me?"
Pilate answered, "I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered You to me; what have You done?"
Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm."
Therefore Pilate said to Him, "So You are a king?"
Jesus answered, "You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice." "
John 18:33-37

Hi Tim. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving with your family.
Tonight in our family devotions, Paul was reading the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes to us. To this day, I've wondered how amazing that must have been. To be given food that wasn't available, yet it was there for all to see. God is so good.
But, at the same token, since we are all sinners, I was also thinking, would I have believed it, even with my own eyes? It must have been to amazing to grasp; even the Diciples questioned so much of Jesus' works.
Well...it was just a thought. I'm not the most articulate person, but wanted to just share that thought with you.
By the way, how is school going?
In Him,
Mrs. Swift
Ahhh....I meant to add that even though we are sinners, that the Blood of Christ, has washed us, cleansed us and given us new life. For that I am truely thankful!
Blessings to you!
How interesting! I have wondered with all the removal of the Ten Commandments why they even bother swearing on a Bible. It's an odd thing.
HA HA HA! I promise not to pray to Jane nor will I offer incense.
Boy...that is a good question. I worry about Keith Ellison being in Congress...but, I know so little about politics and can only pray that the Lord will oversee all of this.
Blessings to you.
Mrs. Swift.
OH! Tim...if you have questions or need addresses for your Alumni party, pls. let me know. Your Mom has my home phone #. Thanks.
